Myrtle Nora Winslow Ramos

Myrtle Nora Winslow Ramos, 79, of Elizabeth City, NC passed away peacefully at Chowan River Health & Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

Born on February 6, 1947, Myrtle was the daughter of Carson Lee Winslow and Evie Gray White Winslow, both deceased. Myrtle was very proud of receiving her associate's degree in early childhood education.

Survivors include two daughters, Angel Trueblood and husband, Jeff, and Missy Lamb-Cruz; three sons, Carson White, James Lee Winslow and wife, Norma, and David Lee Winslow and wife, Dawn; eight grandchildren, Heather Bass, Mackenzie Winslow, Brandon Winslow, Molly Winslow, Zach Moore, Michael Trueblood, Nicole English, and Angela Dean; eleven great grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Copeland, Evie Castelow, and Becky White; and brother, Danny Belcher.

In addition to her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Macy Winslow; grandson, Carson Anthony White; and daughter-in-law, Mary White.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, Hertford, NC. Following the time of visitation, the family invites friends and family to the residence of the son, David Winslow for a reception and celebration.
