Myrtle Louise Stewart Scott, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, in Amelia, VA. Born in Mannboro, VA on June 3, 1940, to the late Richard and Alma Stewart. She attended Russell Grove public schools and graduated in 1958. known for her warm smile and gentle spirit, she was always ready to listen and lend a helping hand. Myrtle was an exceptional seamstress. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Richard and Robert, and three sisters, Mary, Alease and Alma. She is survived by her sister, Sadie (Thomas) Jefferson. She took pleasure in sewing for her family and friends, singing, watching movies, and solving puzzles. Sh was a dedicated member of the Busy Bee Club. Myrtle left a legacy of love, service, and dedication, and will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Willliam H. Scott (Bossaw), and is survived by her four children, Debra (Darrell), Joyce, William (Miriam), and Gwen, along with seven grandchildren, Demetria (Lisa), Darrell Jr., Jyuan, Bernard, Joel (Taylor), Dianna, Miesha, and five great grandchildren, Jyuan, Trentin, Trevor, Miles, and Josiah. Her memory will forever be cherished by her loved ones, including her two sisters-in-law, Rozelia McCoy and Helen Murray, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, extended relatives, and friends who will continue to honor the legacy of Myrtle Stewart Scott.
