N. "Alice" Coffman, age 84, of
Waynesville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at her residence.
Alice was born on April 13, 1941, in Jackson County, Kentucky, the daughter of Godfrey and Bessie Isaacs (Lamb). She grew up in a family with 16 siblings, for a family of 17. Alice ultimately made her home in Waynesville, where she spent many years surrounded by family and friends.
Alice devoted over 20 years of her working life to serving others as a waitress at the nostalgic Village Ice Cream Parlor in Lebanon. She was known for her strong work ethic, friendly nature, and the genuine care she showed to everyone she encountered. In addition to her work, her faith played a central role in her life. She was a longtime member of Dodds Pentecostal Church, where she was a devoted prayer warrior and shared her love of music by singing and playing bass guitar for many years.
Family was at the very heart of Alice's life. She treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and took great pride in being the matriarch of her family. Her faith guided her daily life, and Jesus remained at the center of everything she did. She was outgoing, friendly, and never met a stranger. Always caring and loving-often in a fun and playful way-she was known for her willingness to help others, especially while playing matchmaker for her granddaughters.
Alice had a love for country cooking, which she shared in common with her husband. In addition, she was a supporter and follower of Jimmy Swaggart's ministry. Among many things, Alice will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her servant's heart, her deep love for her family, and never hesitating to tell everyone she loved them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Coffman, who passed away in 2008; her parents; one son, Craig Coffman; two granddaughters, Savana Coffman and Hannah Coffman; her brothers, Tommy, Johnny, Charles, Herman, and Delmer Isaacs; and eight sisters, Lillie, Ann, and Yulia Isaacs, Edna Alexander, China Upton, Hulda Livingston, Madaline Alexander, and Darlene Isaacs. Alice is survived by four sons, Jeff Coffman, Gary (Kim) Coffman, Mike (Tabby) Coffman, and Eric Coffman; two daughters, Amy Coffman and Tora Coffman; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her brother, Joe (Stacey) Isaacs; two sisters, Martha (Eugene) Boggs and Faye Ball; and many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Dodds Pentecostal Church in Waynesville, with burial to follow at Miami Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home of Waynesville is serving the family.
