Nada Derek

Nada Derek, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Aston with her family by her side on November 15, 2024. Born, raised, and educated in former Yugoslavia where she graduated from university in Belgrade with a degree in Biology. She loved her career as biology teacher before immigrating to the United States to be closer to her daughter Lilliana that she loved dearly. Nada and her husband Franjo were caregivers to their grandchildren Bojan and Tijana whom they adored and enjoyed spending time with. She also enjoyed skiing, knitting, traveling back to her homeland, cooking, doing homework with her grandchildren and visiting with friends and neighbors. Her family was everything to her and she was always the first to help with anything anyone needed.
Nada was predeceased by the love of her life, her incredible husband of 54 years, Franjo. Also, her parents Djuro and Perka Opacic along with her 6 siblings.
SURVIVORS: Her beloved daughter with whom she lived and spent every day with, Lilliana Bosnic (Neb), her cherished grandchildren Bojan Bosnic (Marin) and Tijana Bosnic Roy (Stephen Roy), and her great grandson Teo, born just a few days before her passing.
VISITATION: Wednesday evening November 20, 2024 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston, PA 19014
Funeral Service and Burial are private at the convenience of the family.
