Nada Simpson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory - Greenwood Chapel on Jan. 4, 2026.
Nada Norene Simpson passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 92 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on May 2, 1933, in Bedford, Kentucky, Nada was a cherished daughter to Denzil and Neola Houser. She is survived by her sisters, Marge Troutman and Rita Bryant. Nada was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louise W Simpson, Jr, 4 of her siblings (Sue Houser, Linda Rice, Hilda Wallace, Jim Houser) and her son, Mark Simpson.
Nada's legacy continues through her children, Shirl Miller-Smith (Randy), Pam Beadle, Rick Simpson, Randy Simpson and Laura Turner (Keith), as well as her 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a guiding light in their lives as they witnessed her courage and strength during difficult times.
After the death of her husband at age 41, Nada was the sole provider for herself and 6 children, ages 6 through 18. For many years, she worked diligently as a secretary for Stokely Van Camp, where she was appreciated by all who knew her. In addition, she was involved in school and church activities. As a devout Christian, Nada's faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and joys.
Nada was an excellent mother and grandmother, always putting the needs of her family above her own. Her skills in sewing and cooking were not only hobbies, but also acts of love, as she made wedding dresses for relatives and fixed nutritious meals on a limited income.
Nada was loving, kind, thoughtful, and had a gentle spirit. Her life was characterized by her love for her family and love for her Savior, Jesus. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the positive impact she had on all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who loved her, and her memory will be forever etched in the hearts of her beloved family.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 2pm with visitation from 12pm until the time of service at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood
