On the one year anniversary of Nadine's passing, I would like to share the following memory that I had with Nadine. She and I met during freshman year at Adelphi University. I will forever remember and miss her kindness and bright smile from the moment that we met.
Nadine and I stayed in touch over the years and frequently shared prayer together.
One story from Adelphi that I will share is the time Nadine and I were doing our laundry in the basement of Earle Hall, and we heard something and both of us jumped on the folding table and got quiet. The we looked at each other and started laughing and could not stop. It was a time I will always remember!

On behalf of the Adelphi University department of athletics, we extend our condolences to the Chase family. Nadine was inducted into the Adelphi Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009. She was the first woman to earn an athletic scholarship from her high school, and finished her career as the school's first female player to notch 1,000 career points.
