Naim Shukry Farhat Naim Shukry Farhat, known to his family and friends as Norman, passed away May 14th, 2010 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.

Born January 15th, 1940 in Jaffa, Israel, he was the son of Shukry and Nejmah Warrah Farhat. On October 4th, 1970 in Detroit, Mich., he married the former Margaret Qura, who survives.

Mr. Farhat was a mechanic for over 40 years in Michigan and the Northern Virginia Area and was the Owner and Operator of Normans Garage on Mathis Avenue for over 25 years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Arabic Baptist Church, based in Washington, D.C., that meets in the Manassas Baptist Church.

Besides his loving wife of 40 years, Margaret Farhat of Gainesville, he is survived by one daughter, Rana Awwad and her husband, Johnny of San Francisco, Calif.; two sons, Chuck Farhat and his wife Crystal of Gainesville; Mazen Farhat of Gainesville; one sister, Naima Rizqallah and her husband, Fuad of Michigan; one brother, Johnny Farhat and his wife, May of North Carolina and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, May 19th, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Esper Ajaj officiating. Interment will follow in Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.
