Nancy Addesso

Nancy Addesso, age 69, of Franklin Lakes, NJ passed Saturday February 7th, 2026 with the comfort of her loving family by her side.

Nancy was born to Jack and Gerta (Van) Westrenen and graduated from St. Peter's for girls High School, in Staten Island, NY with the class of 1974. She continued her education at St. John's University in Staten Island, NY but, withdrew and began working.

Nancy worked at Eastern Airlines telemarketing, then as a teacher's aid at a Daycare Center, was a manager at a pet store and eventually she transitioned to the healthcare field. She worked as a receptionist for several years and then eventually was promoted to office manager of a nephrology practice in Toms River, NJ.

She met her husband Sebastian in 1974, and they were married on September 29, 1979 in Elizabeth, NJ. Nancy and Sebastian's marriage was blessed with two children: Jason and Lara. They have enjoyed a loving marriage for 47 years and have known each other for over 50 years.

Nancy was loving, caring, devoted to her family and always willing to help others. She often put the needs of others before her own. She loved animals, especially cats and mandated a two-cat minimum in her household. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially around the holidays. She insisted that her children obtain a higher level of education and was exceptionally proud of their success. She adored her granddaughters Adriana and Alessandra, and relished playing with them and spoiling them with gifts and holiday dresses. Her sense of style, appreciation for handbags, shoes and jewelry was second to none. She had a great sense of humor and was a source of laughter at family gatherings. She was an exceptional mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt and loyal friend. In the later chapters of life, she was able to travel to the Caribbean and Europe which were some of her fondest experiences. She became closer to God, attended mass regularly and strongly believed in the power of prayer.

She is survived by her husband Sebastian Addesso, son Jason Addesso and wife Andrea, granddaughters Adriana and Alessandra and her daughter Lara.

Friends may visit with family at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ on Thursday, February 12th, 2026 at 9:45am-10:45am. Interment will follow at Moravian Cemetery in Staten Island, NY.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations/contributions in Nancy's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and would be greatly appreciated.
