Nancy Almeida, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, departed from this world on September 27, 2025, in Pasadena, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished. Born on July 25, 1969, in Ruidoso, New Mexico, Nancy was the embodiment of compassion and warmth, touching the lives of all who knew her.
As a devoted homemaker, Nancy dedicated her life to her family. Celebrating forty years of marriage with her loving husband, John Almeida, she created a home filled with laughter and joy. Together, they raised a beautiful daughter, Alyda Aguilar, who inherits her mother's gentle spirit and caring nature. As a grandmother, Nancy delighted in the company of her two grandsons, Ian and Levi, always eager to share her love and support with them.
Nancy was a vibrant soul with a wide array of interests. She found joy in watching her favorite television shows and had a passion for traveling. Her trips to Galveston were especially dear to her, where she would rejuvenate by the ocean's soothing waves. A true lover of the holiday season, Nancy relished in decorating her home, always searching for the latest decor to bring forth the cheer of the holidays. Her humility, sweet nature, and compassion remained central to her identity, endearing her to everyone she met.
She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Eva Parra Serna; her siblings, Eva Serna, Norma Shepherd, Bobby Serna, Freddy Serna, Vera Serna, Linda Serna and Louie Serna; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who were all fortunate to have known her. Though she is preceded in death by her father, Ray Serna, her sister, Brenda Serna and Stepbrother Ray Serna, Nancy's spirit continues to shine through the love of her family and friends.
A visitation to celebrate Nancy's life will be held on October 10, 2025, at Integrity Funeral Home in Houston, TX, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, offering a space for loved ones to gather and share cherished memories.
Nancy Almeida will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
