Nancy Ann Barberis

Nancy Ann Barberis, 76, of Memphis, TN passed away on March 21, 2024. Mrs. Barberis was born on November 1, 1947 in East St. Louis, IL. She worked as a civil servant for Scott Air Force Base for 17 years. She went on to retire from the IRS after 18 years where she worked as an Executive Secretary and created the graphics for the company newsletter. She was very artistic and loved to paint. She also enjoyed performing arts and enjoyed going to the Orpheum or other theatres to see plays and musicals. She enjoyed watching figure skating as well. Mrs. Barberis served on the literacy council to help teach people how to read. She also enjoyed volunteering for the local Catholic churches. She loved butterflies and anything with butterflies printed on it. She had a servant's heart and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Barberis was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Walsh. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ronald Barberis; daughter, Vanessa Barberis Malecki (Daniel "DJ"); daughter, Jackie Ditty (Chris); granddaughter, LeeAnn Price (Cody); and sister, Janie Melton (Kenny). A graveside service will be held at All Saints Catholic Cemetery on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the King's Daughters and Sons nursing home in her honor.
