Nancy L. BARNETT, 80, of Hallsport, NY, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 3, 2023 in Wellsville Manor Care Center.
Born August 2, 1942, in Ellisburg, PA, she was the daughter of Chester G. and Ethel Sarah Sherwood McCaslin. On November 19, 1966, in Wellsville, she married Byrle Roger Barnett, who predeceased her on August 2, 1999. A graduate of Genesee High School, she was employed by Herbert Cooper in Genesee and Current Control in Wellsville. Nancy was a member of the Salvation Army of Wellsville for most of her life. She was also active in The Gospel Chapel of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Whitesville and Chenunda Creek Fellowship in Independence.
Surviving are: two sons, B. Randy Barnett of Tennessee and Lynn Barnett of Shongo; a daughter, Marcia (Michael) Dunn of Coudersport, PA; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two siblings, Clair (Sandy) McCaslin of North Carolina and Esther Chapman of Florida; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 11 siblings, Arlene Miller, Beatrice Farrand, Ella Mae Cruz, Elsie Cook, Shirley Cruz, Benjamin McCaslin, Hugh McCaslin, Jane McCaslin, Arlouise McCaslin, Marie Miles, and Chester H. “Tinker” McCaslin.
Friends may call at OLNEY-FOUST Funeral Homes & Cremation, Crowell Chapel, 296 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Hallsport Union Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Salvation Army of Wellsville.
