Beverly J. SAXTON, 83, of Whitesville, NY, died Saturday, February 14, 2026 in Highland Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Wellsville.
Born June 30, 1942, in Hornell, she was the daughter of Clyde E. and Mary Josephine Palmer Newton. In 1964, in Canisteo, married to Edward Harold Saxton, who predeceased her in 2000. Beverly attended Whitesville Central School and earned an associate’s degree from Alfred State College. She was employed as an accountant by the Allegany County Treasurer’s Office. Beverly was a past member of the Independence Emergency Squad.
Surviving are: three daughters, Kelly (Jim) Folts of Independence, Cecile (Dusty) Steadman of Whitesville, and Billie (Dave) Burns of Andover; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two nephews, Clyde (Jerri) Newton of Shinglehouse and Scott (Sally) Newton of Smethport; and a loving cousin, Karen McCabe Myers of Hornell. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Henry D. “Hank” Shultz and Charles Saxton; and a brother, Francis Charles Newton.
A gathering to celebrate Beverly’s life will be held on a later date. Burial will be in Whites Corners Cemetery, Whites Corners, PA.
