Nancy Bernad Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Poway Bernardo Mortuary - Poway on Mar. 11, 2026.
Nancy Bernad, a devoted mother, gifted artist, and the heart of her family, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026. A woman of profound faith and vibrant spirit, she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Manuel, and her parents, Marcelo and Trinidad, who preceded her in death.

A Loving Wife and Proud Mother
Nancy was a loving wife and a proud mother who built a life centered on the people she held dear. Some of her happiest memories were the trips she took with her husband, Manuel, exploring new places side-by-side. Her four daughters were her pride and joy, and she took immense satisfaction in watching her family grow to include her sons-in-law: Tanya and Geoff, Gina and Ken, DeeAlane and Alfred, and Trina and Mike.

Faith and Peace
A devout Catholic, Nancy's life was anchored by her spirituality. In her final moments, she demonstrated the strength of her devotion, holding on until she received a final visit from her priest. She passed away peacefully, wearing her blessed scapular-a final testament to the grace and faith that guided her.

A Creative and Social Soul
Nancy found beauty in the details of existence. Whether she was captured by the flow of paint on a canvas or meticulously crafting intricate beaded jewelry, her creative spirit was ever-present. She was also a deeply social soul who cherished the warmth of good company. She loved spending time with her family and friends and found great joy in the clatter of tiles during Mahjong games with her sister and in-laws.

Her Lasting Legacy
Her legacy continues through her twelve grandchildren: Jade and her husband Maurice, Gianni, Alexine and her husband James, Andrew, Jenna, Carissa, Gavin, Anthony, Angelina, Ashlynn, Ayden, and Noelle; and her great-grandson, Eli. She remains a beloved sister to Patricio, Marcelene, and Melvin, and a cherished aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Nancy will be remembered for her creative heart, her unwavering devotion to her family, and the quiet, holy strength she shared with everyone she loved.
