Nancy Jean Birch, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Sunday, January 11, at the age of 69, surrounded by her loving children and sisters.
Nancy was the heart of her family and an amazing Grandma who loved her grandchildren more than anything in this world. Her greatest joy came from spending time with them, and her love was constant, fierce, and unconditional.
She found happiness in simple pleasures and good adventures. Nancy loved spending her days garage saling, always on the hunt for a good find. She also enjoyed visiting the dog track to gamble, where she found excitement in the thrill of a win. These hobbies brought her joy and many stories she loved to share.
Nancy dedicated many years of her working life to the Sisters of St. Francis, where she served faithfully until her retirement. Her strong work ethic, commitment, and caring nature were evident to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Amanda, whose loss she carried in her heart for many years; her parents, William and Minnie Davis; her brothers, Jeff and Steven Davis; her sister, Audrey Schmitt; her brother-in-law, Butch Finzel; Andy Birch, whom she considered a son; and her granddaughter, Evelyn Birch.
Nancy is survived by her children, William (Alyssa) Birch and Barby (Drew) Birch; Kayla Birch, whom she considered a daughter; her sisters, Bernadine Finzel and Mary (Mike) Daughetee; her brother, Fredrick (Susan) Davis; her cherished grandchildren, Khloey, Emma, Abigail, Quentin, Audriella, Jackson, and Wyatt Birch; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Nancy will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to family, and the special role she played in the lives of all who knew her. Her memory will live on through her family-especially her grandchildren, who were her greatest joy.
A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later time.
We love you, Mom, and will miss you dearly.
