Nancy M. Blaisdell, 79, passed away on January 15, 2026. Born on October 20, 1946, in Portland, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Henry A. Brown and Madeline Brown.
Nancy graduated from South Portland High School. She enjoyed a career as a home daycare operator, where she dedicated herself to caring for children. She was married for 59 years to her loving husband, George M. Blaisdell Jr. Nancy was a strong, intelligent, and hard-working woman who loved children and was an excellent teacher to kids. Her hobbies and interests included gardening, knitting, baking, and reading, especially mystery novels. She volunteered her time by knitting hats for cancer patients being treated at the Barbara Bush Cancer Center in Portland, Maine.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Blaisdell; her son, Gregory A. Blaisdell; her husband, George M. Blaisdell Jr.; her grandson, Adam M. Blaisdell; her sister, Jean Brown; and her daughter-in-law, Terri Blaisdell.
