Nancy Boldt Obituary

Nancy E. Boldt, 90, of Fort Madison, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 4:35 a.m. at Woodlands Creek Senior Living in Clive.

She was born on Sept. 19, 1935 in Davenport to Edward and Pearl Lindstrom Winckler. On Dec. 28, 1955, she married Donald Boldt in Davenport. He passed away on June 19, 2020. Nancy was a library aid at Jefferson School for many years. She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was very active and served as church treasurer and taught Sunday School for several years. She was an avid reader and traveled to Colorado every year and hiked in Rocky Mt. National Park for several years.

Survivors include one daughter, Kathleen (Jam) Afjari of Urbandale; three sons, Kenneth Boldt of Denver, Colo., Keith Boldt of Fort Madison and Richard Boldt of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Carol Felske of Davenport and Sally Flesch of Bettendorf; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Marguerite, brother William and two daughters-in-law, Barbara and Tammy.
