Nancy Breland, 79, passed away on March 30, 2026, in Hamilton, NJ. A passionate quilt maker, Nancy was also known for her love of Pennington, NJ, and the wonderful friends and neighbors she had there. Nancy was also known for her kindness, joyfulness, love of anything sparkly, and ability to appreciate small joys in life. Nancy was also passionate about education and worked at The College of New Jersey for over 30 years as a faculty member in their Psychology Department, where she was also Chair for several years. Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hunter. She is survived by her daughters Alison (Ashley) and Julia (Rob), as well as her brother Robert (Mary Ann), and granddaughter Rosalie. A memorial celebration will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Nancy's name to The College of New Jersey, Nancy Schacht Breland Family Scholarship Endowment Fund.
