Nancy Lynn Brooks, RN, 72, of Massillon, passed away at home surrounded by her family on June 2, 2022, following a courageous battle with brain cancer.
She was born on October 20, 1949 to the late Thomas and Shirley (Paxton) Craigo in Canton.
A graduate of Perry High School and The Aultman School of Nursing. She was pinned a Registered Nurse in 1970. As an RN, Nancy worked in a variety of health care settings. She worked with Dr. Louis Shaheen, MD for 25 years. The family would like to thank Dr. Shaheen for his love and support.
Nancy was a past member and past President of The Perry Local School Board, a Girl Scout Troup Leader, a Perry Helping Perry Volunteer, a member of The MS Society and The Perry Twp. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Lynn P. Brooks; their children, Erin (Lee) Nelmes, Geoffrey Brooks and Megan (Jeff) Baker; two granddaughters, Alexa and Audrey; siblings, Candy (Mark) Dickerhoof, Tara (Mark) Depew, Scott (Tracy) Craigo; brother-in-law, Gary (Nancy Marino) Brooks; and a niece and several nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022, 10:00 am - 11:00am at Faith Community Fellowship, 1303 Ninth St SW Massillon, Ohio 44647, with a Celebration of Nancy's Life to start at 11:00 am with Pastor Mike Kager, Jr, officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the MS Society, PO BOX 6028 Cleveland, OH 44101-1028 and The Stark County Humane Society PO BOX 7077 Canton, OH 44705.
