Nancy Carol Coen

Nancy Carol Coen, 76 of Higginsville, Missouri died peacefully on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at her residence in Higginsville, Missouri. Born Saturday, September 16, 1939 in Corder, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Rupert Schaller and the late Mildred Higgins Schaller. Nancy married James Coen on September 11, 1965 and he preceded her in death on June 18, 1998. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Stanley, Kenneth, Buford (Boots), and Dennis Schaller; 2 sisters, Melba Burge and Janet Portell. Surviving are two sons, Danny(Shona) Welch of Higginsville, MO and David Welch of Lexington, MO; two sisters, Dorothy Narron of Lee's Summit, MO and Linda Gavin of Little Rock, AR; four grandchildren, Deanna (Jason) Grass, Daniel (Nikki) King, Logan Welch, and Kassidy Welch, two great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. Nancy worked at the Higginsville Garment Factory, then she was a waitress at Mainstreet Cafe and Beck's Cafe retiring in 1992. She also bowled on several ladies bowling leagues. A Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday at the Hoefer Chapel with the Rev. Aubrey Burk officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Corder, MO. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Monday, June 27, 2016, at Hoefer Funeral Home, Memorial contributions may be sent to Crossroads Hospice.
