Nancy Cullen Obituary
Nancy Lindsay Cullen, 67, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 16, 2023 while being surrounded by her family. She was born on May 1, 1956 in Binghamton, NY to Howard and W. Ann (Lindsay) Johansen. Nancy was a 1974 graduate of Fremont Ross High where she was a cheerleader and an aqua maid. After high school, she attended Ball State University and then finished her bachelor’s degree at Bowling Green State University.
Nancy married Christopher J. Cullen on April 19, 1991 in Fremont, OH. She co-owned and operated Ohio Outdoor Advertising Company for many years. She was also the Associate Pastor at New Hope Vineyard Church. Nancy was a member of New Hope Vineyard Church, the Fremont Rotary Club, the Fremont Ministerial Association and served on many boards in the community. She enjoyed painting, dancing, traveling and playing the bass guitar but above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Nancy cried out to Jesus in 1984 which changed her life profoundly. She spent the rest of her life serving the Lord, His people and the community unselfishly.
Nancy is survived by her husband of thirty-two years, Christopher J. Cullen, Green Springs, OH; children, Lindsay (Andria) Barlage, Sylvania, OH, Adam (Erica) Cullen, Green Springs, OH, Paul (Leah) Cullen, Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Lennon Barlage, Willamena Barlage, Faye Cullen, Howard Cullen; sisters, Claire Johansen, Tiffin, OH, Gail (Reggie) Peterson, Sitka, AK and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law, Mick Pfefferle.
Visitation will take place on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 1 to 3 pm and 6 to 8 pm at New Hope Vineyard Church, 2507 Hayes Ave. Fremont, OH 43420.
Service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2023, 10:00 am with an hour of visitation at the church prior to the service.
Memorials can be made in her honor to the Pontifex, 416 W. State St, Fremont, OH 43420 or to Heartbeat Hope Medical, 300 S. Front, St, Fremont, OH 43420.
