Nancy Dake Obituary
Nancy A. Dake, 79, of Battle Creek, died February 24, 2026. Nancy was born July 7, 1946 in Battle Creek to Oliver and Ona (Whitman) Clapper. She graduated high school and went on to receive her associate’s degree. She worked as a nurse’s assistant for many years. Nancy married David Dake in 1978. He sadly preceded her in death in 2022.
Nancy is survived by her two nephews, Lucas (Stephanie) Stahlhood and James (Jennifer) Boren. In addition to her husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Cathy Clapper and Carolyn Clapper.
Funeral services to celebrate Nancy’s life will be 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Battle Creek First Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
