Nancy Moore Davis 82, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, left this life peacefully in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on Monday, October 28, 2024. Nancy was born on October 8, 1942, in Spartanburg, to the late Clarence and Nell Murphy Moore.
Nancy was a graduate of Cowpens high school, and a dedicated professional, Nancy worked alongside her late husband, Robert Wilson Davis, for over twenty years, providing invaluable support in the administrative aspects of their construction business, DR Construction Inc. After retiring from this role, Nancy continued her journey of service by spending a decade as a teacher's aide with Spartanburg School District 3, where her nurturing spirit made a significant impact on the lives of countless children. Nancy was also a member at Cannons Campground United Methodist Church.
Nancy was an avid lover of water, finding tranquility and joy in visits to her lake house and trips to the beach. Her interests extended beyond nature; she found great pleasure in reading and cooking. But above all, Nancy delighted in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her three children; a son; Bryan Davis (Tammy), and two daughters; Robin Davis (Ashley) and Claudia Lynn Keller (Keith Sparks); eight grandchildren; Jamie Dillard (Heath), Jessie Davis, Anna Fortner (Josh), Davis Keller (Kathryn), Owen Keller (Megan), Lydia Keller, Elijah Davis and Bella Davis; Nine great-grandchildren, a sister; Ann Alexander and her companion Ed Medford. Nancy was predeceased by her late husband; Robert Wilson Davis whom she shared 47 years of marriage with; her parents; father Clarence Moore, and mother Nell Murphy Moore; along with one brother Lewis Moore.
A visitation honoring Nancy will be held at Cannons Campground United Methodist Church 3450 Cannons Campground Rd Spartanburg, SC 29307, on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, followed by a graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 1300 Fernwood- Glendale Road Spartanburg, SC 29307 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Nancy Davis’s honor to: Spartanburg Meals on Wheels 419 East Main Street Spartanburg, SC 29302 or to The Shriners Hospital for Children 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607.
