STAUNTON – Nancy Catherine (Lucas) Davis 78, formerly of Richmond, passed away on February 11, 2025 in Aviva Baldwin Park, Staunton.
Nancy was born on April 5, 1946 in Fincastle, Virginia, a daughter of the late Fred Matthew Lucas and Virginia Louise (Childs) Lucas. She graduated from James River High School in Buchanan, Virginia, and worked for C&P Telephone (now Verizon) for 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ellis Davis; and brothers and sisters Fred L. Lucas, William W. Lucas, Margaret L. Blair, Evelyn Jane L. Opengari, Richard B. Lucas, and Peggy L. Waldron. She is survived by brothers and sister Robert G. Lucas of Fincastle, John David Lucas (Sandra) of Daleville, and Martha L. Hanger of Churchville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a private burial will take place in Jerusalem Chapel United Brethren in Christ Church Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 18 in the chapel of Bear Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor George Etling.
