Nancy J. Davis passed from this life on Sunday, January 25, 2026, in Independence, MO. She was born June 21, 1939 in Pleasant Hill, MO to James E. and Bernice (Nan Arken) Hale.

After divorcing in 1945, her mother married Frank W. Ketchum in 1948. He had a son, Frank D., and Nancy wanted her last name to be the same as the rest of the family, so asked Frank W. to adopt her.

Nancy had polio in 1953 and used crutched for most of her life and a wheelchair in later years. In spite of this, she lived a full and active life. She graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1958 and from Central Missouri State in 1962. She worked at Unity School of Christianity for four and a half years before moving to Los Angeles, CA, where she worked for Trans World Airlines (TWA).

She met and married John (Jack) R. Davis while in California. She transferred on her job to Kansas City in 1984 where she continued to work for TWA and its spin-offs - PARS and Worldspan. She retired in 1993 and moved to Lake of the Ozarks with her husband. He passed away in 1998. She was active in the Busy Bees, Deer Creek Fire, and Unity Lake of the Lakes church. In 2006, she moved to Clinton, MO, where she was active in the Women's Club and Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Nancy is survived by her brothers, Frank D. (Glenda) Ketchum and Robert V. (Jeanna) Ketchum; half-sisters, Judy Vincent and Marsha Hendrix; stepchildren, Kathy (Sandy) Loquet, John W. Davis, and Paul C. (Laurel) Davis; and many step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Nancy was cremated and requested no funeral. If you wish to do something in her honor, she suggests you visit or call a shut-in, or take a senior or handicap person out to a meal, shopping, or other entertainment.
