Dansville – Nancy Ann Denton age 75, passed away Friday September 26, 2025, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.

She was born in Dansville, on June 10, 1950, and was a daughter of the late Jean Baker Pickel. She was also predeceased by Jean's husband James "Pick" Pickel, grandparents Eva and Cy Baker, nephews Chad Mahoney and Jason Pickel. On November 1, 1980, she was married to Freeman "Red" Denton who survives.

Nancy was a devoted homemaker, and in her free time, she enjoyed playing golf, particularly at Brae Burn Golf Course. She was formerly employed at the Gunlocke Chair Company in Wayland. She enjoyed spending time in Montana with her son Tim and his family

In addition to her husband Freeman, Nancy is survived by her son, Timothy (Kelly) Hoag, grandchildren Bethany and Owen Hoag, her siblings, Sandra (Milan Kysor) Pickel, Pamela (James) Mahoney, and Robert (Stacie) Pickel, a niece, Bridi (Bob) Kubiak, and two nephews Aaron and Brendon Pickel.

Services will be private for the family. Arrangements by the Hindle Funeral Home Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville, NY 14437. Online memorials may be made at HindleFuneralHome.com.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the ICU doctors and nurses for their dedication to Nancy while she was under their care.

In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Noyes Memorial Hospital 3rd floor ICU, 111 Clara Barton St., or the Dansville Ambulance Fund, 18 Ossian St., both of Dansville, NY 14437.
