Nancy Dickinson

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday at New Hope Baptist Church for Nancy Dickinson, age 93 of Southside, who passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. Rev. George Chastain and Rev. Michael Yates will officiate the service. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of service at the church Friday.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husbands, Mike Dickinson and George D Nolen, children, Otis D Nolen, Ronnie Wayne Nolen, Ricky Dale Nolen, Martha Jane Nolen, and Dorothy Reed, great-granddaughter, Misty Dawn McCurdy, and seven siblings.

Left to cherish the memories of her are her daughters, Brenda Edwards, Wanda Dawson (Edwin), and Georgia Denise Torossian (Chuck), sons, Alvin Nolen (Susan) and Michael Dickinson, grandchildren, Cindy Taylor, Yolanda McCurdy, Jeff Dawson (Abby), Timothy Dawson, Megan Dawson, Valerie Elizabeth Torossian, Chris Nolen (Sharon), Jennifer Husky (Alan), Clarence E Reed, Andrea Diane Nolen, Michael James Dickinson (Jessie), Morgan Fowler, Montana Dickinson, and Shannon Hope Dickinson, twenty-two great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren, host of nieces and nephews, special nephew, Nathan Stephens.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Robbie Rowell, Luke Rowell, Jeff Dawson, Michael Dickinson, Montana Dickinson, TJ Dawson, and Chris Nolen.

Nancy attended Roy Webb and Glencoe Schools. She was a CNA who worked for Piedmont Health Care for over twenty-five years. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She loved reading her bible, listening to gospel music, doing crossword puzzles, and watching Wheel of Fortune. Her most enjoyment in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
