Nancy Ann Brooks Diggs, a cherished real estate agent and community member, passed away on July 18, 2025, in La Grange, Texas. Born on June 25, 1941, in Midland, Texas, Nancy grew up in Midland and graduated from Midland High.
She married the love of her life, J.D. Diggs, on April 20, 1962.
Nancy's passion for her community was evident in her dedication to her career. For more than three decades, Nancy was at the helm of Diggs Real Estate, a company she owned and operated with unwavering integrity and care. She was more than a real estate agent; she was a trusted advisor, a friend to many, and a pillar of Fayette county. Nancy took pride in her work, helping countless individuals and families find homes.
Nancy also loved going fishing in Port O' Connor and watching her husband at calf roping.
Nancy was the daughter of P. A. "Hootie" and Tommie Leona "Memmie" Brooks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her in laws Minor "Bo" and Almeda "Fanny" Diggs, her sister Nancy Lavena "Hessie" King and brother-in-law Roy "Shorty" King, her brother Jim Brooks, and nephews Rocky and Lyn King.
She is survived by her husband, JD, her children Jerri Ann Taylor and husband Stephen, Brandon Diggs and wife Christeen, and Shannon Diggs and wife Peggy.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Jay Taylor and wife Tori, Jamie Taylor and special friend Brandon, Marissa Eppler and husband Tyler, Seth Diggs and wife Haley, Avery Peevler and husband Matt, Austen Diggs, Kourtney Hardin and fiancée Michael Johnson, Karissa Priesmeyer and husband Ty.
Great grandchildren Brynlee Eppler, Chase Taylor, Brixton Peevler, Tommie Peevler, Demi Hardin, Cash Hardin, Pryce Priesmeyer.
She is also survived by brother-in-law Jerrell Diggs and wife Kris.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations of La Grange on Wednesday July 23, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A private graveside ceremony will be held. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Jay Taylor, Seth Diggs, Austen Diggs, Matt Peevler, Tyler Eppler, Brandon Gutierrez.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter in La Grange.
