Schaudt Funeral Service & Cremation Care - TulsaNancy Elaine Dillahunty, a woman of unwavering strength, fierce love, and a heart big enough for everyone she met, passed away on November 29, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on December 10, 1946, in Mangum, Oklahoma, to Jacob and Nellie Mae (Devoll) Thompson.
Nancy grew up in Vinson and Mangum, where she learned early the value of hard work, resilience, and family-lessons she carried throughout her life. After raising her children, she returned to school and earned her bachelor's degree from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma, proving once again that determination has no age limit.
A dedicated public servant, Nancy served as a Deputy Warden at Mabel Bassett Correctional Center, leading with both strength and compassion. After retirement, she reinvented herself yet again as a successful realtor, helping families find their place in the world with the same care she poured into everything she touched.
Above all her accomplishments, Nancy was immeasurably proud of being a mother. She was a great and steadfast mom-supportive, dependable, present-working full days, coming home to cook dinner, help with homework, and never once missing a school event. She raised her children to love God and others, to appreciate life, to laugh freely, and, whenever possible, to dance. Her nickname, "Nicey," came honestly; kindness was her natural state.
Nancy's grit was matched only by her tenderness. She had a big, sensitive heart and the sweetest smile, a combination that made her a loyal friend and a magnetic presence. She loved being around people, loved good music, and loved celebrating life with those she held dear.
Nancy enjoyed gardening, crafting, and cooking-each a reflection of her creative spirit and generous nature. She loved to travel, especially to the beach, and found joy in the outdoors. Hiking, kayaking, exploring new places, and simply being near the water made her feel alive. She appreciated beauty in all forms and delighted in antiquing, discovering treasures with stories of their own. She was curious, always learning, always striving to improve herself and expand her understanding of the world.
She treasured family reunions and the chance to gather with the people she loved most. She truly valued what she had, and she lived with gratitude and intention.
Nancy is survived by her children, Jacolyn Lieck (Abram), Shelly Drullinger, and Brad Dillahunty (Becky); her grandchildren, Macey Forhan (Nicholas), Darcey Olsen (Ty), Ty Drullinger, Mack Lieck, Grace Lieck, Sophia Lieck, Aubrey Dillahunty, Beckmann Dillahunty, Kacey Perkins, and Emma Perkins; and her sisters, Jean Pence and Joann Bassel. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends who adored her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mack Dillahunty, her parents, her son-in-law T.W. Drullinger, her siblings Bill Thompson, Geneva Hancock, Janie Smith, and Barbara Matthews, and her sister- and brother-in-law Glenda and Lynn Vowell.
Nancy Elaine Dillahunty lived a life defined by courage, compassion, and an unshakeable love for her family. Her legacy is one of strength, joy, faith, and the simple but profound belief that every day is worth living fully. She was smart, amazing, loving, and strong-and she will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to be loved by her.
