Nancy Faye Dunlap, age 86, was born on April 21, 1939, and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her bedside. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Wess and Minnie Nuchols; her beloved husband of 54 years, Herschell “Jim” Dunlap; her brothers, Robert “Bob” and Junior; her sisters, Mabel, Mary, and Nora; and her three children Robin, Chuck and Sammy. She is survived by her grandchildren Tony Heptinstall, Todd(Ashley) Heptinstall, Jeremy(Brittney) Dunlap, Drake Dunlap; and great grandchildren Ryse, Emily, Olivia, and Connor, along with great-great grandchildren; special nieces Gina, Whitney, Jamie, Lisa and Vickie, and many other extended family, and a wide circle of friends who were all blessed to know her. Nancy will be remembered for her deep love for family, her unwavering care for others, and her unmistakable personality and stories that took their own winding paths. She possessed a sharp sense of humor, an adventurous outlook, and a creative spirit filled with big ideas and curiosity. Nancy’s laughter, honesty, and boldness left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. All of these traits allowed her to be a strong support to her family, a business owner and friend. Above all, through her faith she trusted in the promises of God and found peace in knowing that this life was not the end, but the beginning of eternity. Today, we take comfort in the assurance that she has been reunited with those who went before her and now rests in the presence of her Savior, free from worldly concern. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched, the memories she created, and the love she freely gave. Though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice in the hope of eternal life and the promise that we will see her again.

The family will receive friends from 4:30p.m. until 6:30p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City on Thursday, January 22, 2026 with a funeral service to follow. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:00a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Kermit McPeek officiating both services.
