Nancy Durall, 86, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully after experiencing multiple stokes the past three years. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by the love of her family. Nancy was born on October 20, 1938, to James Balay, and Mildred Cook.
Nancy will be remembered for the joy she found in live theater at Beef & Boards and traveling, especially on cruises. She truly loved spending time in the sun. At home, she was known throughout her neighborhood for her beautiful yard, a true reflection of the care and pride that she poured into it until illness no longer allowed her to do so. She also had a deep love of music, especially the soulful sounds of the Righteous Brothers and classic Motown. Her warm presence and the brightness she brought to those around her will be deeply missed.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband and long-time caregiver Jeffrey (JL) Durall, sons Gary and Jeffery Buchanan; 5 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and her two doggie fur-babies DeeDee and Petey.
She is preceded in death by her parents James Balay and Mildred Cook; sister Barbara Mattingly; niece Jennifer Mattingly and her daughter/friend Leah Buchanan.
