Nancy Ezell age 74 of Bumpus Mills, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 2, 2025 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN after a long illness. She was born August 8, 1951 in Cadiz, KY, the beloved daughter of the late Robert Ed Mitchell and Ada Irene Miller Mitchell.
She had strength and grace and was an inspiration to all those that knew her. Nancy devoted her life to caring for her family and home. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family, traveling and cooking for her loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Milford Ezell, , siblings, Catherine Hubbard, Doug Mitchell, David Mitchell, Mark Mitchell, Roger Mitchell and Tony Mitchell. Survivors include her daughter, Catherine Elaine Bau (Andrew) of Bumpus Mills, TN, grandson, Thomas of Nashville, TN and granddaughter, Emily, of Bumpus Mills, TN, son, James Edward Ezell (Christy) and grandson, Ethan of Indian Mound, TN.
Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. She had a spirit that will be dearly missed.
To honor her wishes, she will be cremated and her headstone will be placed in the Ezell Cemetery in Bumpus Mills, TN. No formal memorial will be held at this time.
