Nancy Faulkner, age 65, passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 at her home in Scotland.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 10 at the Community Church in Scotland with Pastor Jared Wockenfuss officiating. Visitation begins at 12:30 p.m.
Nancy, loving wife and mother was born in Yankton, SD on January 26, 1960 to Leonard and Nellie (Rheiner) Nielsen. She graduated from Yankton High School in 1978 and McMurry University in Abilene, Texas in 1985.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Nellie Nielson; brother, Jim Nielsen and sister, Mary Mydler.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Gary Faulkner of Scotland; two sons, Scott and Eric, both of Scotland; brother, Andy Nielsen of Mission Hill; two sisters, Kathy Highstreet of York, NE and Karen Thompson of Omaha, NE along with several nieces and nephews.
Nancy was Cub Scout Leader and an active member in the Scotland community.
She retired from the US Postal Service in September 2024, where she worked for 28 years. Nancy loved working at the post office, helping people she would see every day.
