Nancy L. Ferverda, 91, and lifetime Kosciusko County resident peacefully passed away Sunday night March 8, 2026 at Paddock Springs in Warsaw.
Born on October 21, 1934, Nancy was born to Er W. and Nettie G. (Stoner) Mishler. She graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1952.
In Huntington, Indiana on August 20, 1954, Nancy married Robert D. Ferverda. They would welcome two children and share 67 years of love, laughs and memories. Bob would pass away on February 18, 2022.
Nancy was a devoted housewife and mother. She loved tending to her flower gardens and was a good cook. The couple loved entertaining guests and adored having their kids and grandchildren over.
She volunteered at Kosciusko Community Hospital with the Auxiliary Hospital Volunteer Association on Tuesdays, as a candy stripe, driving others to appointments, and volunteered her time in any way needed by friends and family. After retirement, the couple relished in traveling the world, taking cruises and European river cruises and going to Hawaii. They were faithful members of Leesburg United Methodist Church where she was in the PEO Sisterhood.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Amy L. Taylor of West Chester, OH, and son Dirk Ferverda of Syracuse; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob; her parents; and her siblings: Georgia Gross and James, Kenneth and Joseph Mishler.
Per her wishes, cremation will take place with no formal services. She will be laid to rest with Bob in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
