MOULTONBOROUGH ---- With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Sue Fish, on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the age of
59.
Nancy lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, and an unwavering devotion to the people she loved. Her warmth was immediate and genuine-she had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, valued, and at home. Whether you were family, a lifelong friend, or someone she had just met, Nancy greeted you with the same open heart and radiant smile.
After being diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer, Nancy faced her illness with remarkable courage and grace. Even in her most difficult days, her focus remained on others-offering encouragement, sharing hope, and reminding those around her to find joy in each moment.
Nancy was predeceased by her loving parents, David and Patricia Fish. She was a proud and devoted mother to her three children-Courtney Barber, Carly Lemire, and Nick Lemire-who were the center of her world. She lived her life for them, celebrating their every achievement and standing steadfastly beside them through every challenge. She also embraced her children's spouses-Doug Barber, Josh Angell, and Emma Lemire-not just as in-laws, but as beloved sons and daughter in her heart.
Her greatest joy was being "meemaw" and "grammy" to her six cherished grandchildren: Lilly, Brody, Meredith, Maverick, Cooper, and Wyatt. She treasured every hug, every laugh, and every moment spent creating memories with them. Nancy shared a special bond with her sister, Susan, and her brother, Brian, who stood by her through every chapter of her life. When Susan and Brian married their partners, Adam and Shannon, Nancy welcomed them as siblings, loving them as her own. She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews: Alex, Jackson, Joshua, Jacob, Cameron, Peyton, Reilly, and Charlotte. To Nancy, family extended far beyond blood. She had a beautiful way of gathering people in-especially her children's friends-treating them as her own and loving them fiercely. Over the years, she became a second mom to many, offering guidance, laughter, a listening ear, and a place where everyone felt safe and cared for. Her home was a haven, and her heart had room for all.
Nancy's selflessness, generosity, and joyful spirit touched countless lives. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
