Nancy Page King Gabriel, 101, died on February 24, 2026 in
Williamsburg, Virginia.
A native Washingtonian, born of Eldon Paul and Gertrude Brewer King, she attended Holton Arms Junior College, Class of 1945. During the war years, she volunteered in multiple capacities to support the war efforts.
Growing up in Washington official and diplomatic circles, she participated fully in the social and travel activities of her parents. She remembered fondly her extended stay in London when President Roosevelt sent a delegation headed by her father.
Always a most gracious hostess, in this country and abroad, she assisted her investment banker husband (Jean-Pierre, or J.P.) throughout his career. At the time of Jean-Pierre's passing in January 2019, they had been married for 72 years.
Nancy took a great interest in the decorative arts with concentrations in antique furniture and porcelain, having inherited unique decorative pieces from her family. She became a member of the antiques study group of Washington.
A very special lady, Nancy leaves behind admiring friends and family members.
The Gabriel Family moved to Williamsburg in 1990 after years in Baltimore, New York, and previously Washington, D.C.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Glascock Mansfield (husband Thom), a son, Brian Keller Gabriel (wife Lisa) and three grandchildren, Harold Winfield Glascock IV (wife Vivi), Marta Gabriel Anderson (great-grandchild Soren), and Keller Lee Gabriel (wife Beth, and great-grandchildren Henry and Samuel).
