Nancy Gailey

Nancy Lee Gailey, 87, of Reisterstown, MD passed away on August 7, 2025 at her home. Born May 20, 1938 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Katherine (Clark) Fitchett. Beloved wife of the late Carol Anthony Gailey, whom she spent 54 years of marriage with prior to his passing. Nancy was a graduate of Franklin High School. She was a member of Piney Branch Golf Club Member for over 45 years. Nancy loved golf and was very active in the 9 hole ladies. An avid Baltimore sports fan, she loved attending Ravens games and watching the Orioles games on TV. She was a great cook loved her baking her desserts, cakes and pies and tending to her garden. She and Carol loved hosting Thanksgiving at their home every year. Surviving are her son, Brian Gailey of Westminster, MD; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Gailey; granddaughter, Journey Gailey of Westminster, MD; as well as two brother-in-laws, Richard Gailey of Littlestown, PA, and Steve Gailey of Reisterstown, MD; and four sister-in-laws, Christy Matthews, Vonnie Gailey, Joan Gailey, and Linda Fitchett. In addition to her husband, Nancy is predeceased by son, Daniel Smith; grandson, Dustin Smith; sister-in-law, Jackie Fritz; and brother-in-law, David Gailey. The family will accept guests for visitations held Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 3-5:00 pm & 7-9:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main St., Hampstead, MD 21074. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Arcadia.
