Nancy German Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coldren-Crates Funeral Home - Findlay on Mar. 5, 2026.
Nancy Elizabeth German, 70, of Findlay, OH, passed away at her residence on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

On September 8, 1955, Nancy was born in Bowling Green, to the late Clyde and Datha (Ackerman) Rickard. She married the late Gerald Murphy, Sr., and they later divorced. She then married Ray Owen German. He preceded her in death.

Surviving Nancy are her children, Gerald L. (Betty) Murphy, Jr., Kristi L. (Gary) Reckart, Kassi D. Murphy, Danny German, and Dawn German; grandchildren, Brittany, Dustin, Breanna, Gerald III, Hannah, Cody, Kyle, Lera, and Jessica; nineteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Jamie Rickard, Cathy (Carl) Frankfather, and Jackie (Tom) Bateson; and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Daphne German; and brothers, Danny, Michael, and Randy Rickard.

Nancy never met a stranger. Her kind heart resonated with those who met her, and many people knew her as "Mom". She loved to crochet (especially for her grandkids), read magazines, and play Facebook games. But above all, she was a caring and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She held a fierce love for her family and would do anything for them. They were the center of her world, especially her grandbabies. Nancy loved living life.

Her strength, kindness, and devotion will be greatly missed by those around her, especially her loving family.
