Nancy Gibbs

Nancy Carroll Wallace Gibbs returned to her Heavenly home at 10am on December 18th, 2025. She is survived by her sister Faye Swonger and all six of her children (Brian, Allen, Lori, Jill, Tracy, Brady and Aaron), as well as 22 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Nancy was born to Raleigh and Else May Wallace on July 11th, 1939, in Ventura, California. She moved with her young son, Brian, to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1962 and there met her future husband of 57 years, Ronald Kent Gibbs. The two were married and moved to Moreland, Idaho. Life took them to Pingree Idaho a few years later, then in 1984 to Centerville, UT. In 1991 they moved to Bountiful UT and in 1996 eventually ended up in Lehi, UT where they finished out their lives together.
Nancy loved music and had a beautiful voice. She served in musical related callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints most of her life. She loved to serve and took in more than a dozen foster children while living in Idaho. Nancy had a fulfilling career as a vocational and technical skills teacher at the Fort Hall Indian Reservation. After she and Ron moved to Utah, Nancy served two terms on the Centerville City Council. For 15 years Nancy then served as the Executive Director to the Independent Telephone Carriers of Utah where she lobbied against the large monopolizing telephone companies and she grew to know many of our state legislators, congressmen and senators.
Nancy was loved and will be missed by many. Her funeral services will be held on January 22nd at 10am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints building 1680 W. 700 S., Lehi, UT with a lunch for family and friends at 11:30am at the same building.
A graveside service will be held at 4pm at the Moreland Cemetery in Moreland, Idaho, where her body will rest next to her husband and many other beloved relatives.
