Nancy King Gordon of Colfax, NC, passed away on November 28, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Elliott and Ethel King; her husband, Fletcher J. Gordon; her brothers, Whalen L. King, Urchel L. King, and Mallonee King; and her sisters, Meredith K. Goode, Saphera Anthony, and Earleen Quensinberry.
She attended James A. Gray High School and Draughn’s Business College. The last 20 years of her working career were spent as an accountant and controller.
Surviving her are two sons, Steven “Flash” Gordon of High Point, NC, and Timothy Gordon and wife Debbie, also of High Point, NC. She leaves behind five grandchildren: Jeff Gordon of Kernersville, NC; Sterling and Stevie Gordon; Ross and wife Kirstin and Holly Gordon, all of High Point, NC; as well as her cherished great-grandchildren: Miles, Grant, and Adaline. She is also survived by her brother, Allan King and his wife Carol of Concord, NC; her sister, Linda Reeves of Denver, NC; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Nancy’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Pennybyrn for their outstanding care and compassion throughout her years as a resident there.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Zak King officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Friends and family are welcome.
She leaves behind many dear friends and loved ones who meant so much to her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Resident Care Fund at Pennybyrn, 109 Penny Road, High Point, NC 27260.
