Nancy R. Gorzoch (née Taylor) passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born and raised in Fishtown. She was a proud graduate of Hallahan High School, Class of 1966. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert S. Gorzoch, Sr. After serving in the US Air Force, Bob returned to Philadelphia to marry his "hunny bunch". They began their family and she was a devoted and loving mother to Robert Gorzoch, Jr. (Kerri) and Joseph Gorzoch. She grew into the role of grandmother to Stephen and Olivia, who brought her endless pride and joy.
She was the dear sister of Bobby Taylor, (Terry) and the late Ed Taylor, Jr., (Marylou) and sister-in-law of Donna Patti. Nancy also will be lovingly remembered by her cherished nieces and nephews: Mary Kate, Nora, Ian, Marnie, David, Drew, and Anthony.
She looked forward to celebrating the holidays at her brother's and enjoyed preparing meals with the family. Nancy loved vacationing with her brothers and her loved ones at the Jersey Shore. Her greatest peace came when she was by the ocean. It was her happy place. She often said that when her time came, she prayed to be on a beach chair by the ocean. We take comfort in imagining her there now, embraced by its calm and beauty with the sun warming her face and the seagulls flying high. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114, from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM, followed by her Service at 12:30 PM. Interment will be private.
