Dolores A. DeVincentis (nee Ward)
Dolores passed away peacefully in her home and entered eternal life on February 15, 2026. She was the loving daughter of the late John and Mary Ward; the beloved wife of the late Jack DeVincentis; and the devoted mother of the late Tom DeVincentis and Lori DeVincentis (George Gosse).
She was the adoring “Mimi” to Christi, Jack, and Geena Gosse, and to John, Tom, and Matt DeVincentis, and the proud great-grandmother of Abigail and Tommy DeVincentis.
Dolores was the cherished sister of the late Grace; Marie Weinman (Joe); Cass Ward; John Ward (Eileen); Joe Ward (Nancy); Ed Ward (Teresa); Hatch Ward; and Charlie Ward. She was also the sister-in-law of the late Jean Weaver (Bill) and the late Dolly McCarthy (Jack).
She was a favorite aunt to Donna Cooper, Sue Egan, Patti Thompson, Diane Ward, Joe Ward, the late Michael Ward, Teresa Clark, Kathy Gainer, Eddie Ward, Dan Ward, Harry Ward, Debbie Reynolds, Karen Bloschichak, the late Johnny Ward, Chuck Ward, Bill Weaver, Jeannie Moy, Mary McCarthy, Terry Hagan, John McCarthy, Noreen Rymal, and Megan Connors.
Dolores graduated from Saint Hubert High School and went on to work as a secretary and ended up working as a tax examiner/instructor for the IRS. She had a love for reading and especially enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Summers spent in Brigantine, New Jersey, brought her great happiness. She was an avid fan of the Eagles and the Phillies. Her secret for a long life was ice cream every night. Above all, family always came first in her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing at Saint Dominic Church, 8504 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 9:30AM to 10:30 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Saint Dominic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dolores’s memory may be made to St. Dominic Church 8504 Frankford Ave. Phila. PA 19136 would be appreciated by the family.
