Nancy Jane Gosline passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Amityville, NY to the late Emil Anderson and Elizabeth Sleight Anderson, Nancy lived a life devoted to her family, her faith, and her community. She was the beloved wife of Edward Charles Gosline Jr., with whom she shared a deep love of gardening and 58 cherished years together.
Nancy was a devoted and proud mother to her precious twins, Amy Elizabeth Anderson Mireles (Casper) and Edward Charles Gosline (Carla). She found her greatest joy in being Grandma to Madeline Reagan Mireles, Julia Grace Gosline, and Cooper Charles Gosline, who brought endless happiness to her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard Anderson and Gerald Anderson; and her sister, Joan Baxter.
Nancy was deeply committed to serving others. For more than ten years, she was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, faithfully serving as both Chaplain and Treasurer. She also generously gave her time to her community as president of the Girls’ Little League team, supporting and encouraging young athletes.
Her dedication to children extended to her own family, where she was actively involved in her children’s education, serving as a class mother and at times as a substitute teacher. Nancy believed in nurturing not only her own children but all those around her.
She will be remembered for her warm heart, steadfast faith, tireless service, and the beautiful gardens she lovingly tended alongside her husband. Nancy’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched and in the family she cherished so dearly.
Her family will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
A Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 5:00PM, at Doughty Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Kellam officiating. A committal will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 1:00PM, at Belle Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Riverside Shore Hospice, P.O. Box 615, Onley, VA 23418.
