Patricia Rae Bell, better known as Trish, 51, wife of Jay Bell and a resident of Cape Charles, VA, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. Trish had such a sparkling personality that everyone who knew her loved her. She didn’t know a stranger. Trish worked as the safety officer at Coastal Precast in Cape Charles and devoted many years to Cape Charles Volunteer Fire Company as Secretary and Firefighter.

In addition to her loving husband of 21 years, she is survived her children, Masen and Marissa; parents, Julita and Ray Wood of Cape Charles, and Wayne and Kim Sandlin of Stuart, VA; sisters, Carrie Kulick and Danielle (Teddy) Herskovits; sisters-in-law, Stacee Bell and Cathy Bell; father-in-law, Jay Bell Sr.; nephew, Matt (Shannon) Boggs and their children, Raelynn, Laycen and Sawyer; nieces, Kylee and Atlas Herskovits; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and too many loving friends to mention. She is predeceased by her mother-in-law, Debbie Bell; brother-in-law, Steve Kulick; and brother, Ryan Sandlin.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00AM, at Cape Charles Volunteer Fire Company with Chaplain Barry Downing officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cape Charles Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 427, Cape Charles, VA 23310 are appreciated.
