Nancy S. Grason, 91, of Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2024 at Homestead Village Retirement Communities with her daughters by her side. She was the loving wife of the late C. Donald Grason who preceded her in death in 2017.
Born in Lampeter, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Sara (Bright) Rentschler.
After graduating from high school, Nancy spent much of her professional career employed as a secretary by Lampeter Strasburg School District. Later in life, she was self-employed with her monogram and embroidery business that she proudly operated out of her home for 20 years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, counted cross-stitching and gardening
She is survived by her loving daughters, Donna N. Ames (wife of Michael) of Strasburg, PA and Connie M. Metzler (wife of James) of Paradise, PA. She is also survived by a great-grandson. In addition to her parents and late husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Stewart Rentschler as well as by grandchildren, Travis and Lora Metzler.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Church of the Apostles UCC, 1850 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Following the service there will be a luncheon at the church, all are welcome to attend. Interment will be private in Boehm’s United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to: Masonic Village Hospice, 98 Masonic Dr Suite 101, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
