Nancy Gribble, born on December 23, 1943, was a remarkable individual whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many around her. She passed away peacefully on September 30,2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and resilience. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Monday, October 7, 2024 at Clifton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Terrell Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 A.M. at Clifton Funeral Home.
Nancy was known for her multifaceted skills that ranged from tending to her beloved garden to mastering the art of car mechanics and even roofing. Her ingenuity and resourcefulness inspired those fortunate enough to know her. She found joy in being crafty, often creating unique handmade items that reflected her artistic flair. Nancy was also an avid fisherman, spending countless days by the water, finding peace in both the thrill of the catch and the serenity of nature.
As an extraordinary mother and grandmother, Nancy devoted her life to her family, imparting wisdom, love, and unwavering support. Her home was a haven filled with laughter and warmth, where she shared not only her time but also her excellent cooking. Known particularly for her fried chicken, her culinary skills delighted all who gathered around her table.
Nancy's love for helping others was evident in everything she did. Whether it was lending a hand to a neighbor or offering a listening ear to a friend, she approached each moment with compassion and genuine care.
Her vibrant spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Nancy Gribble leaves behind a treasure trove of fond memories and lasting impressions that will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her children Debbie Williams (Charlie), Jerry Terrell (Tammy), and Alicia LaRue (John); sisters Clairerrene Walker, Ann Billings and Marilyn Williams; grandchildren Megan, Matthew, Miranda, Cody, Zachary, John, James, Sarah, Cory, and Courtney; great-grandchildren Jeanie, Barrett, Scarlett, Faith, Johnathon, and Elijah.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Billings, Sr. and Irene (Covey), son Bobby Terrell, brothers William and Leslie Billings and sisters, Texana Billings and Betty Glover.
