Nancy May Guinther, 73, passed away peacefully in her Bargersville, Indiana home on August 8, 2025. Born on December 29, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Ray and Dorothy "Dottie" Hartsock Freeman.
Nancy is survived by her beloved husband Martin Guinther for 48 years, she was a loving foundation for their family. Together, they raised three children – Jacob Guinther, Tyler (Angie) Guinther, and Kyle (Angela) Guinther, who provided her with ten cherished grandchildren: Jace, Lillian, Everly, Valerie, Lina, Sara, Ava, Ana, Beau, and Brielle. In addition to her parents, Nancy was also preceded in death by her brother, Jim Freeman.
Professionally, Nancy was a committed and valued employee who worked for Indiana National Bank, the Indianapolis Courthouse, and AUL Insurance Company with her presence, dedication, and work ethic. She was as loyal to her colleagues as she was to her family and friends, approaching each task and person with a gentle sincerity that was both admired and appreciated.
In Nancy's world, happiness revolved around the simple pleasures of life. She cherished her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren, nurturing each relationship with her undivided attention and boundless love. Sundays were a special day for Nancy, a simple yet profound ritual that knit her family closely together in delight and conversation. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends and going out with Marines Mom's as a support group.
Nancy's legacy of love and her commitment to family and friends will continue to radiate in the lives she touched. Her warm presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by those who had the privilege of sharing in her beautiful journey. Nancy May Guinther, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, has left an indelible mark on this world, and her spirit will persist in the hearts of those she loved.
