Nancy L. Wood Hains, 92, of West Monroe, NY passed away on Monday, December 01, 2025 with her loved ones at her side.

Visitation will be held at Watson Funeral Home (631 S. Main Street) in Central Square, NY on Friday, December 05, 2025 from 11:00AM -2:00PM. A Memorial Luncheon will follow from 3:00PM - 5:00PM at the West Monroe Volunteer Fire Department (54 County Route 11).

Nancy will be laid to rest alongside her husband at the West Monroe Cemetery at a later date.

Nancy was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Frank Wood and Agnes Clark Wood on April 27, 1933. She was a graduate of the Mud Settlement One Room Schoolhouse, and married Alfred T. Hains on May 08, 1954. She worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, such as Syracuse China, Birdseye, and J&M Fields.

Nancy was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Red Hat Society. She was also a 32 year member of the West Monroe Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter; Deborah L. Hains Rowe (Richard Bordonaro), her son; Thomas A.Hains (Betsy Nelepovitz-Hains), her grandchildren; Thomas A. Hains Jr. (Jacquelynn Moody), Jeffrey W. Hains (Allyssa Harmer-Hains), Edward J. Rowe (Hannah Claffey) and Adam L. Rowe as well as four great grandchildren, and extended family members.

Besides her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her husband of over 63 years, Alfred T. Hains, who passed in 2017.

Donations in Nancy's honor can be made to Hospice of CNY or the West Monroe Volunteer Fire Department.
