Nancy Jane Hamlin, age 84, of Weaverville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Solace Center.
Mrs. Hamlin was born on March 5, 1940, to the late Cora Lee Buckner in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was a member of Barnardsville Freewill Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Larry Hamlin; sons, Greg Hamlin of West Union, Ohio and Dennis Buckner; brothers, Calvin Lunsford and wife Millie of Spruce Pine, V.C. Buckner and wife Cynthia of Weaverville, and Vernon Buckner and wife Debbie of Candler; and grandchildren, Chase Hamlin, Michael Buckner and Kaleb Hamlin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with the Rev. Jock Rhew and Rev. Johnny Raines officiating. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, 901 Aiken Rd., Asheville, NC 28804.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at West Funeral Home.
