Nancy Helton Obituary
Nancy Joeanne Helton, age 68, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born on February 25, 1957, in Corbin, KY, Nancy spent her life making others feel loved, seen, and cared for both in her personal life and through her work as a home health aide at Corbin Senior Citizens. Her caring nature and nurturing spirit were the heart of her work. Nancy was also a faithful member of Woodbine Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Helton, Jr.; her parents, Elbert Reese and Nancy Worley Reese; sisters, Imogene Love, Geraldine Rogers, and Ethel Sexton; and brothers, Floyd Reese and Charles Reese.
Nancy was the loving mother of Jared Dozier, Adam Helton, and Breanna Helton. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Richmond of Indianapolis, IN, Donna Farber of Indianapolis, IN, and Lillian Merida of Milan, IN.
Visitation for Nancy Joeanne Helton will be held from 12:00–2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Matt Coughlin officiating.
Burial will follow at Sutton-Skinner Cemetery in Woodbine, KY.
