1955 - 2025
Nancy Marie Huber went to be with our Lord and Savior from Munson Otsego Memorial Hospital on September 1, 2025.
She was born in Clawson to James and Lucille (Schoenith) Malone on January 21, 1955.
Nancy graduated from Clawson High School in 1973 and went on to work at a family-owned bar in Clawson named Roy's. In 1990, she moved to Cheboygan and began a fulfilling career as a home health aide at Vital Care Hospice. Over nearly 30 years, she served hundreds of families with dedication and compassion. Nancy was deeply passionate about caring for others, whether in her professional life, traveling across Michigan to support patients, or simply being a listening ear for her loved ones.
While Nancy had many interests, she had a special fondness for the casino, particularly the game Life of Luxury. However, above all else, Nancy's greatest love was her family. She showed her love in countless ways and her family was her most treasured possession.
Nancy is survived by her son, Jamie (Natasha) Huber; her daughter, Carrie LaHaie; and five grandchildren: Andrew, Olivia, Connor, Max, and Alexis. She is also survived by her partner of many years, Pete Koszut.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Huber; son-in-law, Kevin LaHaie; and granddaughter, Alyssa LaHaie.
Cremation has taken place and in accordance with Nancy's wishes, her family will hold a private graveside service.
In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Nancy's memory to be made to the Cheboygan Harmony House.
